Innovation and small businesses are the backbone of our nation’s economy. Unfortunately, should two bills working their way through Congress get passed, that could all come to an end.
S. 1137 and H.R. 9 threaten to kill the ability of small businesses to protect their inventions. These bills create such a complicated and expensive legal process for small businesses to defend their inventions in court, that no small business would stand a chance at preventing others from violating their patents. Worse yet, these two bills would create an incentive for foreign knock-offs to flood the market.
