Media Advisory: Senator Coons and Representative Stivers to Reintroduce Bipartisan STRONGER Patents Act
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Chris Coons (D-Del.) and U.S. Representative Steve Stivers (R-Ohio) will host a bipartisan, bicameral event on Wednesday, July 10 at 4:45 p.m. to announce the reintroduction of the STRONGER Patents Act in both the Senate and House of Representatives. The members will be joined by other bill co-sponsors, inventors, university representatives, and tech industry supporters of the legislation.
The STRONGER Patents Act, which was first introduced in the Senate in 2017 by Senators Coons and Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) and in the House in 2018 by Representatives Stivers and Bill Foster (D-Ill.), would take a number of steps to strengthen patent protections and promote American innovation.
