With Small Business Saturday scheduled for Nov. 28, Wisconsinites should be reminded of the impact our state’s small businesses have on the economy.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than half, or 1.2 million, of our state’s private-sector jobs come from small businesses such as the one I own. With such a large number of our state’s jobs coming from small businesses, it’s important to remember that a large number of small businesses rely on U.S. patents to safeguard their innovations. A strong patent system ensures that small businesses can continue to promote economic growth, spur job creation and continue innovating.
