There are not many issues these days that can unite politicians from both sides of the aisle, including conservative groups like the American Conservative Union and higher education groups like the Association of American Universities, but the STRONGER Patents Act is doing just that.

At the very time a handful of huge corporations are trying to stack the legal deck against small businesses and inventors, the Stronger Patents Act — authored by Republican Sen. Tom Cotton and Democratic Sen. Chris Coons — would ensure that regardless of whether you create your invention in your garage, at a university or in a lab in Silicon Valley, you would be treated the same.
