Letter from American Innovators Expressing Support for Patent System Improvements Under USPTO Director Iancu

A group of 324 American innovators – including universities, non-profit foundations, individual inventors, start-ups, small businesses, and manufacturing, technology and life sciences companies – sent a letter to the bipartisan leadership of the Senate and House Judiciary Committees, expressing support for patent system improvements implemented by USPTO Director Andrei Iancu over the last several years. The group urges Congress to support these reforms. The letter notes the particular importance of changes made by Director Iancu at USPTO’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), which have improved the predictability, reliability and consistency of the patent system.
