Innovation Alliance Statement on Reintroduction of Restoring America’s Leadership in Innovation Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Innovation Alliance Executive Director Brian Pomper today issued the following statement on the reintroduction of the Restoring America’s Leadership in Innovation Act (RALIA) by Representatives Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Marcy Kaptur (D-OH).

“The Innovation Alliance commends Representatives Massie and Kaptur for reintroducing the Restoring America’s Leadership in Innovation Act. RALIA, along with other bills now being considered by Congress, including the Promoting and Respecting Economically Vital American Innovation Leadership (PREVAIL) Act, the Patent Eligibility Restoration Act (PERA), and the RESTORE Patent Rights Act (RESTORE), underscores the recognition among lawmakers that strong patent protections are essential to supporting American innovation and strengthening our nation’s technological advantage.

“Strong intellectual property rights are critical to protecting inventors from theft by Big Tech and ensuring the U.S. can create jobs, incentivize investment in research and development, and power the innovation economy today and for years to come. We urge Congress to enact legislation to strengthen the patent rights without delay.”
